About us

Lightly is a free image compressor, converter and resizer built to be fast, simple and private.

Why we built it

Most online image tools make you upload your photos to a server. We think your pictures should stay yours, so Lightly does all the work inside your own browser.

What you can do

Compress JPG, PNG and WebP images, convert between formats (including iPhone HEIC photos), resize and crop, add a text watermark, and process many images at once. It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Our promise

No uploads, no accounts, and no selling of your data. We remove location and camera details from every image you save.
